The following gives you a general idea of the personal items to be brought by you to trekking in Nepal. The personal items, are of individual interest, and choice. The most important fact he/she must consider is the time of the year, trekking days, region and altitude.
In a supported trek, heavy items are carried by porters, donkeys or yaks and personal belongings of the trekkers that they may need for the day like money, water bottle, rain gear, camera, sun cream and toilet paper etc. should be carried by you. So you are briefed to pack items in two different bags. |
Recommended Equipment list for Trekking Nepal.
• Duffel or Rucksack bag (This should be nice with good zipper. Ace the Himalaya also supply Duffel/kit bag if needed which need to be return after the trek.) • Your personal Daypack (You will be using this for your money, water bottle, rain gear, camera, sun cream and toilet paper etc, ) • Down Jacket • 4 seasons Sleeping bag (Your own sleeping bag is recommended but Ace the Himalaya supply sleeping bags if needed, which need to be return after the trek.) • Hiking pants • Waterproof jacket • Full - sleeves shirt • Jumper or pile jacket • T - shirts • Trekking boots (water proof) • Camp shoes or Sandal • Polypropylene/wool socks • Light cotton socks for under wool socks • Woollen socks to wear with boots • Sun hat • Beanie • Gloves • Sun block for lips • Sun lotion • Goggles or sunglasses • Thermal Long underwear • Insulated pants • Nylon windbreaker • Nylon wind pants • Water bottle • Sewing kit • Medical & first aid kit • Flash light • Batteries and bulbs • Swiss army knife • Personal towel • Personal toiletries and medication which should be labeled
Please Note: Tight fitting, figure-hugging clothing, such as those made with Lycra can often be offensive to locals, especially on women. If you find these items comfortable as a base layer then please pack something to wear over the top of them. |
